Artist's Comments

Several friends said that these pictures didn't need texts, but it's a sort of tradition, and I think texts sound helpful for depicting Peggy's character. Here, I think that Laurie's short speech is really conclusive.

well, in my opinion, the text in your pictures is good for depicting the character, and is helpful to explain the situation and a bit of story, but this is just my opinion XD

I also like text. it give's substance to the picture. I like the way it fills in the blanks in what's going on. Nice job Maurice. I assume Norm did the text?

No, Norm hasn't written texts for my pictures for several years. But I know he likes my ';Peggy' series anyway. The text has been written by myself, and has been checked and corrected by my old mate in Australia, Don (the 'Don' who's also the translator of the Adder's series which are posted weekly to the Disabled-graphics Yahoo! Group). And Don was kind enough to consider that Peggy's admirers were mostly American, so he suggested 'aluminum' for the British 'aluminium'.

I think this artwork is very cool and interesting. And, is good to see more of your artworks about amputees, specially Peggy.

The beauty is really something strange and abstract, very surprising, and very tricky sometimes, but is great and marvelous, in all of it's forms.
