Artist's Comments

A little more recent. It was the time when Internet didn't exist, and even basic art software didn't any more. And Peggy wasn't born... Of course, an arm and leg amputee girl taking part to a car race is pure fantasy...

Beautiful work, Maurice! I enjoy seeing your older drawings. Your drawing style was as unique as it is today!
Thank you for sharing! =D

nice work! There's a lot of freshness about it too!

Hi Maurice. I caught your journal entry on this one and your very very old art is also very very beautiful as with all the rest as well. I had no idea you'd been creating these for that long, so i expect that this would make you the master of the art on here, its great. Lol i remember those years as well, computers were science fiction at that point and now i have no idea how we'd live without them. :)

Thanks to you all who've faved my 2 old drawings and written the compliments above. In my opinion, the Master of arts, as far as amp girls are concerned, was R.H. Dee. He died in 1988, so he didn't know anything about personal computers, art software and the Internet. Fortunately, most of his art has been saved, and you can see it in several folders in the Files section of the Disabled-graphics Yahoo! Group

I really like this one. Nice job on the coloring seeing that is was before computer days. I assume it was with color pencil or chalk? I would love to see more of your older work.

nice!! they´re racing with 3cv Citröens??
:iconmautheil:
Right ! In France, they're 2cv, not 3cv. Late in the sixties, early in the seventies and later, that sort of races was quite popular. They were sorts of dirt-track races. But of course, an amputee girl driving a 2cv in such a race is pure fantasy !
